10 Tips to Build Your Beautiful Business

1. Announce Your Arrival

Let people know you sell Avon Post, text, email, & voicemail.
📣Tell people. It sounds easy because it is.
For my introverts:
Get a name badge. Like, a literal one you wear.
Change your voicemail.
Add an email signature.
Have a brochure peaking out of your purse.
Wear an Avon logo shirt, hat, button.
Smell good.
Look good.
When someone comments, hand them a brochure or sample and get their deets. If you want an order, follow up.

2. Samples

Samples are like Barbie dolls for women. It’s a quick and easy way to meet new customers or expand your current customer’s favs.
Don’t know what to give someone? Ask them.
I’m trying to decide what samples to give you. Would you be more interested in skin care or fragrance? Or both? 😃
I have all my samples in plastic pouches in a notebook, and I’ve seen eyes glaze over and grown women drool at my selection.
Presentation is everything!

As always, if you want the order, follow up with the person who has your sample.

3. Sell What You Love

Avon

You are the store. Look through the brochure and the What’s New flyer. Try some products. 

Wear them.

Then, recommend your favs.

4. Put a Brochure in Someone's Hand

It’s the easiest way to build your business. Triple your success by exchanging contact info and following up. 

Build your customer contacts by collecting phone numbers & emails.

“Let’s exchange info. Here’s my number. What’s yours?”

Then when you follow up with, “How’d you like that lipstick shade?”

Our goal is to build your customer list.

5. The FREE Brochure

You have a stunning, free digital brochure. It costs you nothing to send this link. 

It’s a great idea to build a customer email list. You can send the link to your brochure, as well as any promos you have running.

6. Refer to Me

Makeup Lovers Wanted

Look for helpers. Let customers know you are always looking for new customers.

Those are the people who can help you build your business. Those people who can talk you up and refer people looking for Avon to you.

Did you know that the average person knows 250 people? At least one may need to buy Avon from you.

7. Pack Your Toolbox

Leave the house ready for connections. Have these things ready to meet and greet:

  • samples
  • brochures with your contact info
  • business cards
  • flyers
  • demos
  • anything else you want to show off from Avon

8. Stay Connected

Which shade of purple looks best?

Set up routine follow-ups with customers so you can build a relationship. Look for problems you can solve with a product. 

People buy from those they like and trust.

Sending a birthday or anniversary note, text or email can go a long way to making a connection.

9. Be Social

It’s easy to share anything in your estore. Just look for the share icon by any product in your estore. (It looks like a greater than sign with circles on the end.)
Or, be amazing like Amy DeLine.
She didn’t just post a stock photo with the brochure description. She makes it personal! And, that makes her sales.
The picture is fabulous.
The jewelry looks beautiful.
But, this is a simple shot. Simple background. Plain black tshirt, Hair in a ponytail. Understated makeup with the blue eyeshadow to match the jewelry.
Her words are genuine and authentic.
She stressed a sense of urgency, but in an non-pushy way.

I want to buy from her, and I’m already a Rep! 😄
So, think how you can make your social media posts more personal and real life. It will drive traffic to your store and attract new customers.

10. Invest in Yourself

It’s so much easier to work the job you’re trained for. Take some time and look at the info available to you in AvonU.
